How much advance payment/security deposit required for renting a flat

Hi Everybody!

I am moving to Abu Dhabi in a couple of months. I am being offered 10K AED of HRA, but I cannot of course pay the entire yearly rent in one go. How much advance payment/ security deposit is it normally required to rent a flat. Any information will be greatly helpful.....

Hi, normally the annual rent is paid in 2-4 payments with security deposit not more than 5K. Some landlords ask to pay the complete amount in one payment. Its all depends on the flat and the landlords and you will have a choice to choose the one suits you. You can even get a flat on monthly basis, not a big deal.
ADCP (http://eservices.adcp.ae/search/app.esp) accepts three payments with 5k security deposit.
