Firearms

I am used to carrying a handgun here in Virginia, especially when I'm out with my family.  I understand the firearm laws in Paraguay are more restrictive than in some states in the U.S.  Are the firearm laws strictly enforced in Paraguay?  I've heard that they are not, and that many people do carry for self-protection.  Is this true?  Can anyone that is living in PY attest to the acceptance of firearms?  I don't care about what the laws say, just reality.

Need a permit - but first you need to be a resident. You can join the Association of Immigrants in PY (The official Expat community - in total 1300 members) - there you can more answers (it's a non-profit group BTW)

Shoot me an email at lonnie@aiparaguay.org and will send you the links.
