Post new topic

What are the procedures for selling a car here in KSA?
The car is mine - tho' still under company's name...and i want it to be transferred/sell to another person (actually the company says i have to transfer it under my name).

How much will it cost?
What are the fees that sellers usually bear for these transactions?

I couldn't just browse through EB for this. :sosad:

This is not the first time you've asked this... right? :D

Cars are sold in KSA via showrooms.

1- If you didn't get the MVPI, do that, A valid Fahas (MVPI) is needed.

2- You'll have to buy an insurance policy in your name too. Tell the insurance agent about the plan and he'll issue the policy (though you aren't the owner yet).

3- If you live in Riyadh, visit Maa'rad Naseem with your company mandoob. The showroom will charge 100 SAR to write a contract between you two parties (you and the company mandoob). If he asks for more, negotiate. The contract will be signed by both parties and stamped by the showroom.

(Please note, your mandoob will have to take along a company document showing that he is authorized to do this. Ask him, he must know better).

4- Take all these documents to any Maroor office. Submit the old istamarh along.
Or
To save hassles, ask the showroom guy to get it for you the next day. He'll charge additional 150 SAR.

Note: From the time you sign the contract - till - you get the new istamarah in your name, the car will be parked in the showroom.
