Prices in the North

After discussion with friends this weekend there is some debate on prices in shops in the North compared to further South. I am not talking about small tourist type shops but the larger generic stores that have branches in both Croisette and Bagatelle.

ie: price in Bagatelle store is significantly cheaper than the the exact same product in the same international branch in Croisette!!! ( even the supermarkets??)

Anyone else noticed this?

yes, you are 100% correct. im living in the nort and work in port louis, the same items i buy from super u at 1200 Rs, i got it from jumbo in rouch tere at 850 Rs. so i got used to do my shopping on my way back home.

Yes - the prices at Woolworths in La Croisette are higher than Bagatelle which is a bit cheeky.
