I like to know how long is a visit visa valid before stamping the visa from the Saudi Embassy in the home country and once visa is stamped how long is it valid for travelling.

Depends on their mood first stamping 2 months or 3 months, and the maximum you can extend is only 9 months

But my query is about visa validity to get it stamped
from the embassy before entering KSA.

That's bit different once you get visa from the embassy the stamping is done at the airport from the date of entry it's counted. That's what I have seen.
