Re-Registering a UK vehicle

Is it possible to import a UK right hand drive vehicle to Croatia and register it on Croatian plates? I realise I would probably need to be resident in Croatia to do this.

Hi. We thought about this. Our enquries came up with the fact that when you have to do the MOT, lights etc cannot be adjusted enough to be left hand drive.
Hope info helps. If you do find a way get plates PLEASE let me know

Normally you need to change the headlamps for the ones fitted to the left hand drive version of your vehicle. In most cases this is not a problem but my vehicle is an LDV Convoy van. It is impossible to find secondhand LHD lights for it and new ones are very expensive. I could have got it onto Hungarian plates if I could solve the headlamp problem but if I'm moving to Croatia it would be better to get it on Croatia plates. At one time they allowed you to MoT the vehicle for Hungary by using the beam deflector stickers they sell for continental touring but they tightened up on the rules a year or so ago.
