This topic has been answered several times in this forum, a quick search can get you lot of past threads.

In any case as to your query, visa can be extended only for a max of 3 times. In your case the first extension or exit is due before the first 30 days since yours is multiple entry visa. So if you renew this without exiting the country the multiple nature will be lost and your visa will be extended for 30 more days. After that one or two more extensions can be possible.

In multiple entry Visa, you can stay max to 30 days, if they extend it, you can stay again for 30 days, but after that you have to exit as extension they give for final exit and come back again then stay for again 30 days. Then again extend for one more month and then you have to raise a new visa.
