Can anyone please inform me of the opening and closing times of the MOFA office?

As far as i know, the one based in khobar starts morning 8.. But then you've to be early in the que & get a number..

They give numbers until before the afternoon prayer.. after which they will call you the next day..

But it's more for the fact that I wanted to know that once a family visit visa is submitted online, what's the latest in a day any progress can be expected?

hi,
as far as I know they work untill 2.00 PM, and for visa application this can take any where between 2 days to 2 weeks of time.
some times they can even ask the applicant to visit MOFA for document verification (In case of profession change on Iqama)

no they do not work on Weekends.

My family visit application status was updated on Saturday.

I wasn't expecting any update as it's the weekend.
