Tough one.
I regret very little of my life but as for the best choice, it has to be my first holiday in Malaysia.
I'd never visited Asia and that trip literally changed my life.
I saw so much that I simply would never had been aware of if I hadn't gone.

I took few days work break to bed sit my Mom, before she passed away. That was the best choice I ever did in my life and the most important 'leave' for a valid reason I taken from my working history.

Perhaps you will use this experience to your own growth and change. To make sure you never quit a job again or you will never be fired, this is the moment in your life to take all the steps to become self-employed providing health care privately, or start a similar business employing qualified staff to help with the work.
