Job offer from a resort in the southern part of Maldives

Hello everyone!
So I got the offer to work as the personal assistant of the General Manager at a Jumeirah Resort. They offered me 1200 USD base salary, which would compensate for 6 working days and the overtime. I would think that it's much lower than what a European expat would charge. What do you think? Should I bargain?

hi, i got offer to work as pastry in that resort too. I would like to ask what offer they give you by the GM.
-full flight expenses to their resort ?(even transfer 2 or 3 airport)
-they help u apply for visa?
-34days holiday back to hometown with free flight expenses?

is that above what they offer you?
i just need to be confirm, so that it is real.

Hi Irina U.

1200 USD is above average for a personal assistant compared to local Maldivians. But it's low for Europeans and people from more developed countries. If the resort covers your accommodation then it is a decent offer as your accommodation expenses will be at minimal.

I recommend getting as much information about living expenses from the resort and then consider.

My questions to you are; What are your options? Are you looking to work in the Maldives for the lifestyle or for the salary?
