I have just tried to report this post (https://www.expat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=332814) and the report button seems to not work on Google Chrome.
In addition, this user (and others I encountered in the past) has an incorrect post count shown: "4 posts" when in fact he/she has only one.

I have had the same issue. I think the count is inaccurate because if the team removes the post it still counts to their overall post count.

Hi beppi,
Could you please provide us with more details about your browser and operating system and also if you could describe what happens when you click on the report button in the report box.

I had a go on chrome and the reporting did work for me at my end but would love to get more details from you to try and reproduce the problem here.
I had a look at the list of reports that we receive and saw that you reported the user twice.

As for the count, when we delete a post, the number of posts is not decreased. We have left this as for us in a way it reflects the number of times the user has participated on the forum.

Cheers,
Devo

On Chrome, I got the "Report" window, entered a short message and pressed the "Report" button. The button then changed into a circular moving "processing" sign, which stayed indefinitely.
Apparently, you received my reports although I was never told it's successful.
I am on Win7, but have to check the Chrome version when I'm back home.
I just did the same on (a very old) IE, reporting YOU (sorry, just as a test!) and it worked fine.

If the post count of a removed post still stands, do these posts then also count for the ability to send PM? (They shouldn't!)

Devo

Hi Beppi,
thanks for getting back to me.
I will keep testing on chrome to try and reproduce the problem.

for the post count, yes they count towards the ability to send PM. We will have an internal look at that.

Thanks. Cheers,
Devo
