Hi,
I have just moved in Chengdu and wondering How can I transfer money to my Indian account myself. Although I already did it with the help of my very supportive chines work friends. But I don't want to take their help every time. So It would be great if anybody here can share their knowledge on the process.
I can go to Bank and try it myself but before that I would like to have some suggestions from here so that I go with the best available approach.

Also I can share the process in Shanghai, In Shanghai we have Indian Banks so there its simple but still we need tax paid slips from China Tax department. So if you have paid 1000RMB tax you can transfer/remit 10000RMB to your home account.

If you're talking about a wire transfer, that's very easy.  Your bank should know how to do that - assuming you have all the information.  If they don't know how to do it, you should find a better bank.

Hi Hailey,

Including wire transfer as well. Actually I do see on bank account internet banking there is option of remittance but that form seems really complex So I did not touch it besides I have never heard of anybody(I am new to China just 4 months but have some friends who are here for more than an year) doing wired transfer from their bank account. So let me ask you have you done wired transfer to your home account from any chinese bank? If yes what documents you produced?
