Hi Chris,

I think going to report the lost at the local police dept would be a wise move and then maybe get in touch with your bank so as to cancel any credit card

Hi Chris,
there is also a specific lost-property office:
Fundbüro - Ordnungsamt
Kleyerstraße 86
60326 Frankfurt am Main
Usually if it was handed in there and there is anything in your wallet with your name on it and you are registered here they would contact you but could be worth a try.
If somebody handed your wallet in at a police station it might a while till the police hands it over to the lost-property office...
