well, i will tell u how to do it HERE...take some tomatoes, peel of the skin and cut them into pieces and place them on MY car dashboards. and after a while, VOILA!!! ur sun-dried tomatoes are ready!
see its so easy to do that here in saudi arabia, thats y they are not in demand...werever there is scarcity, there is demand (am i right Music man?)

I've not encountered good quality ones.  Making them sounds like a good idea.

Making them it shall be!  Lots of instructions online.

Did you check Tamimi? I think I have seen them there, but what I'm sure of though is that they have sun dried tomato pesto (in case you want that too). I have seen plum tomatoes in Danube a while ago, but lately I haven't seen them..
