Roberto Ibarra, will present the famous Silicon Valley Business Model Canvas. This is the most used model for start-ups and is an ideal tool to help entrepreneurs structure their business. Business plans are often complicated to develop and maintain. They can take a lot of effort to create in the early stages of a business where time is crucial for validation of the idea (product/service). In this lecture you will learn the process to help you define, articulate, and present your business to anyone, including investors.

• Key FAQs about creating the Business Model Canvas
• Examples of the Business Model Canvas in use with global businesses

SPEAKER

Roberto Ibarra is passionate about software. He created a software development company, with two other partners, called Innox, which was selected by the Mexican Federal Government as one of the top 50 software companies in Mexico. As Innox’s CEO, he and his team created an innovation model for companies to differentiate themselves from their competition through technology, which has been used by more than 100 companies, including Intel and Nike. He then entered the world of mobile apps creating an app called No Te Pases, which was nominated the world's best app of 2011 at the Mobile Premier Awards during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in 2012. He went on into creating other applications, including the Aid app. Roberto obtained his MBA from IPADE (partner of Harvard Business School in Mexico) and has an Industrial and Systems Engineering degree from the universidad del Sistema Tecnológico de Monterrey (partner of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology: MIT, in México).
