Hi Ya'll!
My name is Rj, I am from the Philippines. I have been working as a Mgr (Expat) here in PNG, Pom since July 2014. Im 24 yrs. old. I was just wondering if you guys got ideas for perfect and SAFE hang out spots.
Also, I was thinking if some would be interested in paying TH Poker. A house game/sit n go would be nice. I've been to several 'Pokies' club around but they only have the online thing. Maybe some out there would enjoy beer and cards..

Hi. I work for the Australian government, and this is something like my 25th visit to PNG, but my first of any duration, for five months. I am here on my own, but I do have a husband, three adult kids, and a grandson.
I am looking for information on services and leisure pursuits. I seek an osteopath, back up plan - a chiropractor. I like to dance, preferably ceroc, and I sew. Is there a quilting group in town? My other interest is skiing but I can't see an avenue for pursing that here. My husband and I will be travelling to Interski in September. It is being held at Ushaia, Argentina, and we are combining attendance at that event for snowsports instructors with a longer holiday in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay.

:-) Hi there. My name is Jan, and I am the partner of a soon to be expat Aussie working in the construction industry in Port Moresby. I am very concerned at the lack of knowledge my GP displays about the prevention of malaria. She could only prescribe Malarone for 24 days at a time, and a max of 5 repeats. My problem with this is that my partner will be working in Moresby on a 6 week on and 1 week off rotation, so this effectively means he will have to take Malarone on a continuous basis. So, how many of you Aussies out there already living and working in PNG take Malarone, and how do you get around the ridiculous rule in Australia of one script at a time, and for only 24 tablets each script?
I await any replies with great interest and anticipation!

I don't have a job offer and just a TELEPHONE interview with a company in PAU. Hell , I had to get out and blow the dust off my Atlas to find out where this place is!
I have read all the scare stories about POM but I have come to the conclusion that if you are aware of your surroundings and are always security conscious I wont be in anymore danger then in South Africa? .
I have made up my mind that I am willing to move to this strange place if the opportunity arises.
Wish me luck and maybe we can meet for a braai if I am successful!?
Andy
