Difference between Labuan n a standard Malaysian company

Post new topic

Hi,
I would like to know what are the main differences in Labuan and a standard Malaysian company specially if a foreigner is the owner.

Regards

Gravitas

Labuan - offshore company - no transactions in Malaysian Ringitt (expenses can be paid in RM) - possible to open sales office on mainland Malaysia and live there. Malaysian company requires large cash injections (RM500k per shareholder (2 required)  if 100% foreign owned. RM350k if part owned with a Malaysian citizen. Both need a sound business plan and a dedicated office space (i.e.not run from home). This is just the basics. Look up simplyoffshore for details about Labuan and malaysiabizadvisory for Malaysian companies.
