Getting Married in Rome, need advice on FOOD!

Post new topic

Hello Roma!

my girlfriend and I have decided to get married in Rome in August this year, a nice small wedding. We both love Rome and the FOOD. A couple of small problems though, the small wedding has turn not small and we are both living in Germany and don't have any contacts in Rome! A planning nightmare.

Can anybody give us some ideas on Catering companies in Rome, or Restaurants .
We've written to a few and only had one reply, and to be honest their deal is a a bit much for us, not to mention the fact they want a 3000 Euro bond.

We have only a small budget, so are hoping for some guidance on restaurants we could go to with about 50 people, or someone to cater at the villa we've arranged.

Any ideas will be MOST gladly welcomed :)

Well, Donald,

First of all you might want to contact whoever it is you know and trust in Rome, because I can assure you that 98% of the companies & restaurants will either try to scam you and you will end up paying lots of money for nothing or you will actually find some company you can trust and they will still make you pay quite a lot for the services they provide (trustworthy companies cost 15% more)
So I suggest you talk to someone who is actually living in Rome and knows his way around it or change the location of the wedding. Sounds a bit negative, but even though everything might go perfect, there is still a tiny(me being optimistic) chance that your party will go sour.

Best wishes, Artur
