Could you kindly let me know which is the best school from the below list. This is for my son for the 6th Grade.

Dinesh,
You should have a consideration for "Azan Bin Qais International School" as well. That's pretty good and following the Brit education standard. A few of my colleagues children are studying and quite impressive.

Hi latavkant,

I did a comparative study of school fee structure a couple of years back. I will share it with you for whatever it is now worth. You can log in to the school's websites and you will get the latest figures.

The American International School of Muscat (TAISM)
       
Fee Schedule For The Academic Year 2011-2012

1. Application Fee - one-time, non-refundable (to be submitted with application form): RO 50 per student

2. Capital Levy Fee - one-time, non-refundable (due upon enrolment for grades Kindergarten – grade 12 only): RO 3,950 per student
•    No capital levy fee is assessed for students entering Early Childhood Years 1 & 2. The capital levy fee is assessed when these students enter Kindergarten.
•    For students transferring from any other school in Muscat:
o    If a capital levy fee was paid at another school in Muscat and the fee was more than or equal to that of The American International School of Muscat, then the capital levy fee is waived.
o    If a capital levy fee was paid at another school in Muscat and the fee was less than that of The American International School of Muscat, then the difference in capital levy fees is charged

3. Tuition Fees for the school year in Rials Omani (RO)
Early Childhood Year 1 and Year 2     RO 3,915
Elementary School - Kindergarten, Grades 1 – 5    RO 6,230
Middle School - Grades 6 – 8    RO 7,485
High School - Grades 9 – 12    RO 7,950

4. Other fees may apply during the school year in the Middle and High Schools, including band instrument rental, student activity travel, etc. Please contact the Business Manager for further information.

5. Bus Fee – Bussing is available and is optional. The fee for the school year 2011-2012 is RO 575.

The fee will be applied to students moving from ABA Kindergarten 1 to Kindergarten 2. Note 1:    Additional fees will be charged if your child requires learning support out/with their normal class.

(a)Full payment on or before 16th August 2011
(b)50% payable on or before 16 Aug 2011, 50% by 27 Dec 2011
(c) Ten monthly post-dated cheques of equal amount beginning not later than August 2011. The cheques should not be dated later than 7th of the month.
