Pipers in HCMC

Post new topic

Hello good people  :D
I'm wondering if anyone can help me out here ?
My friend has been living and loving Vietnam for the past few years
he has now found the right girl and they are to be married , they are planning the ceremony/family party in June this year , as he is Scottish i was wondering if anyone knows of any Pipers in HCMC that are available for hire ,
maybe even a good ex-pat soul who is bagpipe proficient haha
I've been scouring the net on this side but have yet to find anything , getting to the stage of kidnapping a busker on Argyle street and folding them into my case (last resort)  :gloria
any help is much appreciated
ty in advance

Normally, someone in the UK Embassy sponsors a St. Andrews night which is mostly attended by expat Scots (except those in England(;-).

I'd ask someone in the UK Consulate or Embassy if they have anyone who sponsors, organizes, or attends the St. Andrew's celebration and start there. I have no idea if it is commemorated in Vietnam, but one of my executives never missed one in Korea, and he went every year he was there.

Thanks very much for reply, ill give it a shot , i have heard that they have a st Andrews day ball in HCMC and also that they do a Burns night but im unsure if its musicians are based in Vietnam or if they are just travelling to set destinations , We will be over a couple of weeks before the big day so if all else fails ill scour district one with a fine tooth comb :)

You should check out Scots' bars or pubs in District 1.
