I'm moving to HCMC soon and I'm looking into anti-pollution masks. I see that a NeoMask is a lot cheaper in Vietnam than in the US ($2 vs. $24). Is the quality the same as the ones sold here? If it's indeed just the same, than I will of course wait to buy one there. I just don't want to come there to discover something with inferior quality when it will be difficult for me to acquire products from the US. Thanks!

Most of the motor bikers use surgical or cloth(re-usable) mask here in Vietnam. Disposable masks are very cheap.

There's a reason they're cheap here... it's not the real deal. A friend gave me one of those "Neomasks" and it doesn't have the carbon filter elements (read: it's useless for blocking pollution).

One of my biggest regrets is not buying an N95 respirator when I went back home. Less than $30 and I wouldn't be coughing up chunks every day... or, at least, not as much.
