Hi There, I'm a Expat from the USA I am not to new to Indonesia or Jakarta. I have been here a lot since 2012, spending any where from 5 to 8 months a year here at a time,
I now live in the Bekasi area of Jakarta and just joined this blog to meet other expats and find friends for friendship and networking.
My Main Trade is I T Tech and have been for over 20 years, But now find my self in the Tourism and Teaching fields.. My wife is Indonesian and has been in the Travel agency business for over 20 years.
Being a Family Man I haven't really done a lot of night life things here..So in a way yes, I am still NEW to it All... But vary experienced with the traffic hehehe... I tell every one I meet, driving in Indonesia is not driving its a Daily Adventure!

Hi James,
I'm an expat from Australia living in NZ but will be moving to Indonesia Jarkarta at the end of the year. Would love to get some sound advice about living in Indonesia - I'm trying to find out as much as I can about it and be as best prepared as I can and network with other people. I've started taking Indonesian Language classes - only beginners level but at least try to communicate with others. I'm excited about the move as i'm sure it will be an adventure. hope to catch up soon.
