Bursary for private secondary schools

Post new topic

pevi

Hello everyone,

I friend of mine is planning to relocated her family to Malta. She has two children (13 and 14 years old). Her older daughter is very bright and she has just passed her secondary school exams (other country, other system, they change schools at 14/15) and got the 11th highest scores in the whole country.
Is there any secondary school for academically talented students? Unfortunately she would not be able to cover the private school fees, but are there any bursaries available?

Thank you for your advice

Hi,

thank you for the link, however all scholarships seem to be for older students (undergraduates and up). She is only 14  in secondary education.

thank you again

Still worth giving them a ring as they will be able to answer you question regarding availability of help for gifted children.

Although this article from the Times of Malta seems to point to there being no specific help for gifted children in state schools.
