Hello all

I am an expatriate and my maid ran away. I have no idea what to do or what am I required to do now by the law. Can anyone please guide me?

Dear Omara,

She was under your sponsorship ? If she was ? Then inform to your sponsor or HR and they will help you.

Thanks keith. Yes she was under my sponsorship but I m in between jobs and my previous employer has given me release letter and documents have not been transferred to the new employer. It is such a dilemma

hi 0mara, You can go to labor office and report her Huroob, Labor office will provide you with a solution even if you are in the middle of transferring your sponsorship.
Report it as soon as you can and dont be late.

Do talk to them about filing a police report as well (if she has stolen some along). Oh, have you checked on that? Saying so because maids don't usually flee away empty-handed.
