Hi, I live in Puebla and am going around checking out cities to find my longer term abode. Right now visiting Oaxaca.

Haven't been to Cancun yet and would love your feedback on a couple of questions:
1. is the expat group very active and social so that easy to meet friends if 60?

2. is there much to do besides bars and restaurants once you get out of the party zone.  Things like cool coffee shops, art galleries (non-shlock), theater and live music - especially acoustic?

Thanks

I would suggest you to choose Playa del Carmen not Cancun, its more relaxing, much more friendlier place to live!
