Hey everyone,
I'm Carlos from Portugal, I'm 49, divorced and looking for a new challenge abroad.
I have already several experiences living outside Portugal. I lived from 1966 to 1970 in Hannover/Germany where I visited the german school. In 1978 I returned to Hannover and stayed there till 1982. In 1987 ones again I returned to Germany, this time to Frankfurt to manage a portuguese construction company with contracts in Frankfurt, Mannheim and Munich.
At the same time I was translator (Portuguese/Spanish/English)for the New Apostolic Church.
In 1988 I've been responsible for the start-up of the iberian market for the german company LISTER GmbH traveling extensively in Spain from north to south, east to west.
Since 1990 I'm in the transport and logistics business with several specializations and professional training certification in the area.
Now and since last year I'm looking for an opportunity to start a new challenge in another continent (Africa/Australia/Asia/South-America) where I can apply and offer my experience and know-how gained in transports, logistics, automobile industry, automotive, construction, sales and human resources.
My mother language is Portuguese but I speak also fluently Spanish, English, German and some French and Italian on negociation level.
If someone knows about something interesting, I would be glad to hear from you.
However I stay to your disposal for questions or requests where I can help you.

Best regards
Carlos Correia

hello Mr. Carlos could you share use your wisdom and experince in your live i mean the main point in your struggle. we need your advice if we live a long time as an expat.

Carlos C

Hey Egyduck,
My previous experiences living abroad are limited to Germany and Spain.
It was never a big issue or problem for me do to my language skills.
I'm convinced that the best way of doing things and be integrated is to addapt to local conditions and way of lifes. IN ROME BE A ROMAN...
More and more I think we have to live not as portuguese or egipcian but as citizens of the world.
I always say to myself: My home is there where I feel good and where I can be happy!

Regards
Carlos
