apt. near airport wanted

Post new topic

Deutschland_Pilot

Hi there,
I am a German Captain working now for a Saudi aviation company.
I am looking for a temporary single room or apt. near the airport to rent until I find a good compound.
Anybody knew which compounds are near the red see and or airport?
Are there any other Germans or also Russian here in Jedda?
Thank you for any of your kind feedback,
Georg

Nearly all the compounds I listed there are close to the airport, about 15 minutes drive from the Saudia terminal, and they are also only 1-10 minutes from the Red Sea.

Hi Trapezius, thank's for the link. Actually it's so famous and invisible that I have seen it before ;))
Just I did not knew that most compounds are so close to the airport.
I contacted a few compounds by mail but no response, from nobody!
Probably you have to go there in person like everywhere here in this country?
Which compounds are the "wanted" one (why?) and and which are more easy to get in?
Many thanks if somebody has an answer...

Hi! you must visit property dealers who will search an apartment on your behalf.
They are called مكتب عقار Maktab Eqaar.

One thing you need to put in your head for your stay in this country:  Customer service is generally terrible here, hair-pullingly frustrating through phone, and non-existent through email.

You must go visit the compounds, meet the managers, get a tour of the compound, and then choose or put your name down on the waiting lists.  Call first to make an appointment with the manager.
