Hey all,
Moving to Abu Dhabi in July or August. Do you need a car there or can you get by without one?

Hi there, depending on where you are going to live - you'll need a car if you move to the outskirts of Abu Dhabi, where the rent is cheaper. In the City itself you should be able to get by without one...enough taxis, buses are available as well. But in the summer it gets so hot that it is not really nice to stand outside and wait for the bus or the taxi even for a few minutes....

either of the two options.. it is best to try it both for the comparison. plus you wont enjoy living in another country if you don't experience the hassle of commuting !!! right? left?

it depends on where u live and where is your work ; Abu Dhabi have very decent public transportation ( buses and taxis) but i would always consider having a car so you can have more options of places to visit ; the country is very nice and there are lots of places to see and things to do ; so a nice small 2nd hand car can give this advantage .
