How much time it takes to obtain work visa for Bahrain. I got an job opportunity in Bahrain, I received Offer Letter last month but still I don't receive visa from employer. Please tell me how much time I've to wait for visa.

It can take anything between a few days to a number of months.
Depends on the employer and how efficient they are getting these done.

I agree with Farhaz. We signed offer letters in January, but still no sign of visa. Patience, my friend.....

You can check it online with your passport number :

It depends on your degree/profession. If your profession requires some committee clearance then the whole process can take atleast 3 months. If its direct visa clearance it will hardly take 2 to 3 weeks. For ex: I am a doctor. The medical council clearance to issue my license to work there took 3 months and my visa applic got cleared in flat 2 days :) Please check with the HR of your company. Good luck

It depends on your nationality and the seniority of the position you take within the company sometimes. Your main point of contact should always be the HR department of your future company and make sure they know you are eagerly waiting for your visa approval. Keep chasing them.

Processing your work visa is done on a web based site. All documents are sent electronically and everything is computerised. A new system has been installed and new staff employed (with little or no training) hence the work visa situation is now clogged up. New enquiries are being submitted but older ones not cleared. Take a screen shot of the LMRA progress and send to your new HR department
