cost of living 1100 OMR

I am offered 1100 OMR for the post of lecturer in Caledonian college of Engineering, Al- Hail. Is it a good offer?
I am planning to stay with my wife and two kids of 3 year and 1 year old. Will i be able to save around 600 OMR? and any clue of the reputation and work culture in this college?

Hi Aderaz

Is your college taking care of your accomodation as well? If not, 600 might be a little too much to save (it will depend on how you plan to live here). Generally 1100 is considered a good salary in Muscat.

As I said 1100 is considered a good salary here on an average. More will depend on your age, experience, qualification, your standard of living and how big your family is. You should be looking at some of the threads on cost of living.
