HARD DISK BROKEN

Bonjour tout le monde!

I have huge problem, someone broke down my external hard disk which is 2T, so there is a lot of very important data on it. And it is DEAD for sure, already checked. Do anyone knows a place where I can "extract" the files in the memory at the cheapest price please? (They said yesterday in PantipPlaza that it will cost around 20,000).

20,000 is a ridiculous price.

how do you know it is DEAD for sure? try to be more specific and i may be able to help you out. u can always pm me directly too

If you accidentally deleted it, you can use recuva to extract it out..

If you're hard disk is about to break down, you can try an old trick... Wrap in plastic bag and put in freezer for 20mibs. Then hook up n quickly copy out the files before it gets hot again...

boot with knoppix actrieved or dvd, run knoppix, retrieve all data under knoppix.
Better you go to BKK univ campus, join linux user meet-up, they'll help u for free.
are u still a student in thailand? can u speak thai?
at A.I.T. campus , you surely can find someone help u out.

anyway, very few farang in bkk knew LINUX, knoppix...farang're almost slave of yankee mS windows,---closed sourced OS.....

do go alliaince francaise(institute francaise)bkk, they're using mandriva, their system admin staffs might help you out, but french staffs there could ask u for money, while thai staffs there offer u smiling free services on mandriva, linux.....
