My heart goes out to the officers who fell victim to this senseless act. They did catch the guy who did it though.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have released the names of the fallen officers, they are:

Constable David Ross, 32 years of age; Constable Fabrice Georges Gevaudan, 45 years of age, and Constable Douglas James Larche, 40 years of age.

The alleged shooter has been taken into custody, he is 24-year old Justin Bourque. Judging from his Facebook page he was a time-bomb just waiting to go off, not only a fanatic for guns, but also a real cop hater. Definitely a sick and dangerous individual, indeed. It's too bad that something so horrible as this had to happen to get this person confined for the safety of society as a whole.

May god bless their souls

This was tragic.   3 men died unnecessarily but doing their job and one young man wasted his life bu killing them. Everybody loses and one wonders why this should happen ?
I know this place and the people are so kind and friendly.
May they rest in peace ! Condolences to the families affected.
