Any update on Internet download limit?

Post new topic

I`ve been reading the posts about internet connection and I wonder if there`s any news about this issue. Can the limit of 10Gb really be bypassed? Only with the dongle? Some people say if you don´t change the password you`re free, others say this is not true, that all connections have the 10 Gb limit. Anny suggestion? Personal experiences?

Thanx.

I've definitely passed the 10GB limit on mine. I didn't change the password. But I think it's a bit arbitrary and it all depends on how the internet gods feel toward you.

Bu really, I'd say try it and see if you want to find out for sure. Worst case scenario is you pay few more LDs to regain your access.

The real question is: what's a reliable way to track your weekly/monthly usage?

You can login to your account on the LTT website.  The login info is on the official registration form when you buy it.

10 GB is the limit for sure. When the Wimax started the limits were not being enforced at that time if you hadn't changed the password but now it doesn't matter. My service stops every month around the 24th-25th day of the month.

You can activate additional usage in 500MB blocks but it is very expensive (LD 10 for 500MB). This can only be done over the phone.

You can login to the LTT website. The required info is on the contract form as Gabacho pointed out.

The password is your contract number.

I also believe the limit is fixed now. I've been logging in to monitor usage of the Wimax connection we use for work and it is definitely tracking...

No passwords were ever changed.

The "no limit" accounts had nothing to do with password changes.  Many of the early accounts to be set up were set up incorrectly and limits were not enforced.  The lucky people with no limit accounts bought their wimax just after it came out.  The password change cause turned out to be just a rumour.
