Your 2 year course is NOT a BsC. That is catogorized as vocational diploma. Only 4 ~ 5 year BACHELOR of SCIENCE (BSc) degree in scientific course in engineering i.e. computer, electrical, electronic & communications, civil, mechanical, process, etc are accepted by SCE. Thus, do not insist that YOU have BSc. with due respect to others with BSc reading this thread of forum. Hope this is clear to you.

Now, I repeat, there are 6 category of computer TECHNICIANS in the list of SCE that you can register straight away to change your GENERAL LABOR visa into technician.

Dear RedTrumpet:

I have the similar case as you described above, I have a genuine 2 years masters degree from Pakistan. I registered myself with SCE as Technician. SCE gave me 1 year temporary membership But they are not accepting my 2 years masters degree for permanent membership.
And I don't have any diploma in my support.

Kindly let me know if there is any solution to get SCE permanent membership with this 2 years degree.

Here are my answers to your QUESTIONS:

1- What is your Iqama profession (VISA).
General System Analyst (محلل نظم عام)
And I came to KSA on the same Profession from day one in 2009.

2- How many years of experience do you have.
I have more than 15 years experience in total (10 years in KSA, since 2009).

3- What are your 2 year completed courses for both BSc and MCS (What is MCS).
MSc Computer Science (2 Years genuine Degree)

4- Are they authenticated and attested in your home country, yes or no?
Yes , it is duly attested by Saudi Culture and Saudi Embassy in Pakistan.

Appreciate your guidance in this situation.
Kind Regards,
Yasser

Go to SCE.
And ask them which profession can be registered on MSC degree.
They will tell you. Ask them to edit your profile and let you get the registration for a new profession (which they will tell you).
Note: SCE will tell you more than one professions which can be associated with MSC degrees but you should show them your degree and get a specific answer according to your subjects.
.
And if your company has the capacity for such profession then you can change the profession.

Dear Arsal, appreciate your quick response!

Actually, three months before, I visited SCE with my original degree and detailed-marks-sheet and asked them that which profession is matching with my 2 years degree.

As I have only 2-year masters degree.
They mentioned that they only accept 4-year degree.
They did not give any solution.

So, that's why I posted in this group to have some workable solution.
Appreciate , if anyone could share any workable solution for a 2-year masters degree in CS.
Regards,

I see.
Call the SCE help centre once.
May be they can help you fully.
If they give you the same answer then nobody can do anything about it.

Ttemp9660

hello,

my iqama is expiring this month and I’ve been told by the company that I have to first get a membership of the SCE.

  1. I have a diploma in Construction Technology(3 years).
  2. My job visa is ”AC technician”

I want to know if there is going to be an issue with difference in iqama and diploma certificate?

also, can I apply for technician with 3 years diploma ?
