Meet Mike Spencer Bown- The Most Travelled Man in the World

What a dude.

There are many pretenders, but the really most traveled man in the world is Heinz Stücke.
He is German, 74 years old now, has been constantly on the road since 1962. He travels exclusively by bicycle and has been in far more places than the abovementioned guy.
Media reports and Internet rankings of "most travelled people" do often not include him because he is humble and avoids publicity.

Heinz Stücke has recently returned to his German hometown - after 52 years constant travelling at the age of 74.

What does he know about any of those 195 countries?  How much did he learn about the people and culture by spending so little time in so many places?

Almost everything a tourist must know about the country.

So basically nothing.

In case you were talking about Heinz Stücke: Well, travelling by bicycle he spend a considerable amount of time in each country. With about 200+ countries in 52 years, it comes to three months each, but he spent a lot longer in some (up to several years) and less in others (down to a few days, usually because they wouldn't let him stay longer).

How long did you stay on average in each country you visited?
I stayed an average of 9 months in each of the 20 countries I visited since 1991, but this ranges from one day (Luxemburg, Mexico, Netherlands, Turkey) to 12 years (Singapore) - and only five  were above a year (Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore), plus of course my home country Germany.

Hard to average out but have stayed from 3 months to 3 years.
