University study - In Jakarta or via correspondance from Australia?

Post new topic

Hi there,

My husband and our kids will be moving over there next year with my husband's work.  I'm thinking about doing some study but wondering if I should enrol in a Jakarta university, or enrol here in Australia before I go and then study via correspondence from Jakarta.

Does anyone have any advice?

thanks!

Hi lean, better u enroll first in AU then do ur corespondency from jakarta. Because I also doing the same thing in here. Will be so complicated if u sign in indonesia. 90% universities in here are presented in bahasa. I'm doing corespondency from new castle. I took bussiness major for postgraduate program.

I have time on my hands, but I don't want to travel too much.
I also fancy doing a degree, maybe in middle east politics.
I wonder if any English language courses are available in Jakarta area.

Thank you Bella, I'll look into it before I go. Also universities in USA offer correspondence courses so I will look there too.

i suggest you to get enroll to an Indonesian university... It will be a far more better experience than doing a degree via correspondence.. University of Indonesia is one of the most prominent university, you can also try there... Many other private and state universities offer some programs in English as well.. They also offer preparatory Indonesian courses before commencement of the program..
