I have been receiving emails from recruiters for Saudi Arabia, however, I am 55.7 years old.  Does anyone know if this is over the age limit to start teaching ESL in Saudi Arabia?

I shouldn't think there should be a problem with that. Who's told you that?

Yes there is a maximum age limit imposed by the ministry of labour.

At the time of stamping your work visa on you passport (التاشرة العمل) you should be under the age of 60, but do not worry, once you are here, based on your health and approval of your employer, you could happily continue working beyond 60.
