cost of a cleaner in mauritius

hello, just recently moved to mauritius....can someone give me an idea of what a cleaner costs per hour etc / or is it better to employ someone to come twice a week to clean / wash clothes etc.
if i need them to cook - would this be extra.
please give me ALL the options.

Hello Jeremy,

Mine comes 3 times a week from 08.30 to 13 00 and she asked me for Rs 3000/- plus travelling which is about Rs4500/- she does all the indoors cleaning except cooking. The charges varies geographically, also with the work load and size of the house and number of people. There's no fixed rate per hour as such. Other options: there are companies like Alpha clean,Mauri clean,Maxi clean who cater for individual house cleaning, they give a much customized service and have different package too, and they are more professional too and charge more of less same rate..If you ll be taking a cleaner, i suggest you ask her what is her salary expectation and then you negotiate on that (+ or -) .... its how i proceeded with mine. I hope this helps a bit.
