Shifting Jobs within Malaysia within 183 days of arrival

Hi,

If you shift a job within Malaysia within your 183 days of arrival, will the tax cycle get reset and you need to pay 26% tax? or the cycle continues since you are in malaysia for 183 days and earning continuosly.

If you do not leave Malaysia and still have been in Malaysia over 182 days in one continuous period and new employer pays your tax from first month there is no problem. Not related to employer just to total time in Malaysia.

Don't forget you need a letter from your current employer to release you so that new company can apply for an employment pass as you need to change to the new employer.
