Maximum Limit to stay out of Bahrain ?

Post new topic

Good Evening Manama  :)

What's the ruling for staying out of Bahrain ? For someone not employed ?

Some countries have a limit for maximum time a resident can stay out of the country !
Its for those employed and working in Bahrain , but what about for those on "investor visas" and "retiree visa" and holding permanent residency ?   :/

There is no such rule here in Bahrain for those who are self-sponsored. As long as you have a valid residence permit you can re-enter Bahrain regardless of the time you have spent outside.

Self-sponsorship is for investors, home owners and retired people and none of these really need to be be under a compulsory residence period here. They are free to travel out and return as they wish. The only thing needed to re-enter is a valid residence permit and visa.

One more thing , the self sponsored residence permits , is it 5 years ? or just 2 year permits ?

It's 2 years. You have to go through the process every two years.
