Do we need residency permit to work?

Hi, I am part of a group of three families, hoping to move to Spain in the next several months. We seek to live in a rural farm setting, in Catalunya, perhaps near Girona. Do we need residency status to work there? Thank you for letting us know. We do not wish to wait six months to leave just to have to wait around for residency paperwork.

How might we look for work as English teachers? We are also highly interested in teaching Ancient Hebrew, which we have been studying for about three years.

We all have farm life and chores experience, and the husbands have some construction knowledge, as well as tools.

Are yu a native English speaker? If s, here is a teaching job you might be able  to apply for through the government.
