Hi Gunner!

You should have

- copy from your Iqama.
- copy from your passport.
- copy from your original driving license. " they request the original one after while"
- letter from your current employer.

take all these documents to driving school and have a file including your papers, as I am trying to remember

1- you will have a medical check-up for seconds.
2- after checking your original driving license you will have a very simple driving test, just go forward and return back
3- you will pay around 580 S.R as a driving license fees.
4- you will attend a couple of lessons " they are very important"
5- you will attend a computer-based exam and driving-based exam.
6- get your G.C.C driving license valid for 10 years.

Ahmed

Before you go to licensing office, be sure to have the following requirements:
1. Copy of license from country of origin
2. Translation equivalent of license from country of origin
3. Copy of iqama
4. Letter from sponsor allowing you to get license
5. Latest picture 4pcs
6. Blood typing
7. Eye test
All of these documents shall placed inside a filing folder...

First step is to secure an application form, your requirements will be check if sufficient or not...if ok, they will give an application form, if not, they will tell you what else to provide. 2nd is you will attend driving traffic rules orientation, after that you will proceed in the actual driving testing ground for actual drive test. This test will involve pocket parking, backing, generally all the maneuvers in driving. If you passed this test, you will proceed in the computer test. Basically, this test involves traffic regulations as what have been discussed in the orientation. If you passed it again, you will go back to the licensing department, submit application form then pay the prescribed fee, you will choose if you want 2yrs, 5yrs or 10yrs...fee depends on the number of years valid you'll select for your license...than wAit for their advise when will you come back for your license.
