On what visa types can you marry in South Africa?

Post new topic

I'm South African my girl is from Morocco. We want to move back to South Africa in a few months time. We want to get married  asap.

We don't have proof of living together and all that stuff you need for a partner visa so she will come over on a tourist visa. So to get her to stay we will get married.

My question is: what happens after you got married on a visitor's visa (if you can), can she apply for another type of visa and continue to stay in S.A without leaving the country?

Thanks in advance!

I think the best way to handle such cases by visiting a lawyer office . Try to get a professional one.

Good Luck.

I have and no one seems to be able to help me! Thanks for the advice!

We are SA immigration lawyers and I can confirm that you can marry in SA on any visa.

Thanks for your reply! What happens after we got married? Does she have to leave the country again to obtain a temporary spousal visa?

ImmigrationSouthAfrica

Yes.
