I'm considering moving to Sihanouk vile with my wife and two young children. I'm planning an visiting with my wife next week, and wanted to know if those who live have an opinion on raising children there. Is there anyone other than locals raising children there?

My brother lived there over a year and loved it so I thought we'd check it out as a jump point if nothing else.

You have no replies until now probably because we don't know what to tell you.
Start by reading all the posts about sihanoukville, don't wish to be too negative but there is nothing here. Local schools are honestly terrible, impossible for berang kids. You are faced with one private school with religious influence and that's it.
Small town that basically exists on bars and the sex trade. Your children will not learn any moral guidance from this town.
Think seriously before moving here.
