I had applied for a permanent visa for my old ailing mother to the MOI about a couple of months ago. I received a message from the MOI stating that the application had been received, but unfortunately, theres no update since then...... I dont know what to do....... re-apply or just wait for some more time.....

Well, one of my colleagues (Saudi) helped me get the application through..... but it seems it has encountered some problem/obstacle. So, wanted to know if anyone else had faced a similar problem.

@gunjankapur007, Many people like me are interested to know the detail process to apply for Permanent Resident application for parents. Can you please provide the information in this regard to help others also.

You just need to visit the Jawazat and show your cause , Jawazat people handle special cases like old age parents etc

And yes the do make it into a permanent visa !

That's what a Jawazat officer told me once
