I have been offered a job, the new employer wants me start work with them and after the completion of probation period, they will issue me the demand letter.

They argue that once i submit the demand letter with the current sponsor, they (new sponsor) will be responsible for my employment and sponsorship for this duration and they will have to issue me IQAMA.

However, my current employer is stressing that demand letter must be submitted now rather then after three months.

I wonder which one is right and how to argue with them on this matter?

Brother Your current sponsor is right.you have to give him the demand letter immediately.

yes i know that's the SOP most companies follow in KSA, however, the new sponsor and their HR insist on their stance of issuing the DL after the probation period. Now I came to know that some other companies are also following this procedure of issuing the demand letter after the employee completes his probation.

My problem is that both of them are sticking to their position and i am missing on a good opportunity.

To move to another employer, yes, you need a Demand Letter prior to attending your duties in the new company - however, it seems that (your new) company nowadays, would really like to know if the guy their signing for is worth the hassles of getting transfers - and all the procedures with it.
Why not, just tell them, "okay, kick me out if i fail my probation period?"  :unsure:whistle:

I conveyed them the same message.
