Post new topic

Hello,

Is there any limit on the number of nationalities that can work in a company in KSA. Just heard it for the first time from an HR guy who is going to check whether the %age of Pakistanis have reached its limit. In other case i can't join the company.

Strange for me though !!

I am not sure if that is 100% accurate....what I know is there is a required number of Saudi employees that a company should have relative to the total number of employees...this ruling is called Nitaqat law on saudization...this is also the basis of the category of the company if green, yellow or red or the VIP category...try also check the web for more info...

I have heard the number of visas a company can issue to a specific nationality, this could also be wrong. But i haven't heard about a certain number of transfers a company can take of specific nationality holders.

I will be disappointed if they tell me the quota for Pakistani's already filled.

Seasound,

As far as the law is concerned, the rules exist for inclusion of a certain ratio of Saudis in an organisation.

Please try to accept the situation positively, before landing in Saudi Arabia , we know very clearly that certain norms of the west eg equality of genders, discrimination on the basis of religion, nationality and race are rather distorted to say the least.

If I was in your place, I would stay positive, ignore the issue and start looking elsewhere.

To clarify; there isn't a limit but there is a number of visas that the company can provide based on nationality. When a company initially gets its visas to hire people, they have to specify how many visas they need BY nationality.  Now when the quota for a particular nationality is finished, they have to re-apply but I believe that they must have exhausted their total overall quota to do so.

We are in a similar situation nowadays as the quota for Pakistani visas is finished and we need to exhaust all visas to be able to apply for more.

And of course, the saudization element also applies to it.  To get more visas for any nationality, you need comply with a certain saudization ratio.
