I want to travel by water from europe to tripoli or tunisia.

Is there anybody who knows, from were it is easy to go by water?

How long is it from departure to tripoli and how much it cost?

Thankss

bluejay

There is ferry service to and from Libya and Tunisia as well as ferry service to and from Europe and Tunisia.  Exact details I do not have, but google ferries Tunisia and you will find what you are looking for.:)

THE ONLY WAY TO COME TO LIBYA FROM EUROPE IS THROUGH OIL TANKER OR ELSE SWIM.  MAY BE IN 100 YEARS TIME WE WILL HAVE ROUTE IN PLACE.

Saw a French(I think) cruise ship in Tripoli harbour opposite the Radisson hotel a couple of weeks ago, was a bit shocked to be honest. I know of ferry crossings from Malta and Italy. The amount of new hotels going up indicates that tourism is being heavily invested in. Now to get the infrastructure sorted :P

If you do Google it, the first 3 answers that come up are:

1. Why would you do that  ?
2. Are you a masochist ?
3. Eating soup with a fork and other challenges

First thing that I said to my wife when I saw it  But on the other hand if you can say 'I spent a night (or two) in Tripoli' people back home would think it unusual, not your normal package destination right enough.

Why not take the boat from Libya to Malta?
If this is possible?
It saves me so much, 400 euros on a ticket and I need three, then I'm happy to go by boat to Malta.
Previously this was possible, so it is not a very weird question.

I did search on google but did not really found something, hence my question on the forum.
So maybe there still is someone who can help me with this further.

Thankssss

you can not come to Libya trough sea ,
from Europe to Tunisia , is very available , from malta , Italy, France, Spain and Greece
From Malta to Tunisia cost 50 euro then from there to djerbha or sfax 40 TD =20 Euro

ok friend..

if u insist to came on a boat the only applicable rout is to go to tunisia. maybe djerba cause it is near the libyan borders.

There are ferry liners from Europe (Italy and France) to Tunis, Tunisia, Haleqelwad port.

Then you can drive to Libya from there.
