Hello everyone!

Myself, my husband and my little boy are moving to Mauritius at the end of October this year for around 6 months or so.

In the UK, I am quite an established Henna/Mehndi artist typically being booked for weddings and parties. I would love to carry this work on in Mauritius and offer my services out there. I also specialise in other henna-inspired arts and crafts including canvasses, candles and cards...etc.

I would just like to know from people living in Mauritius, what is the demand for a henna artist out there and would people be willing to pay UK prices? Also are you aware if many people are specialising in henna-inspired arts and crafts out there yet?

How would I go about getting started?

You can see my work here: Facebook.com/DQDesigns

Would really appreciate some help, advice and information in this area!

Thank you and hope to meet some of you when we are eventually in Mauritius!

FYI: Henna is common in Mauritius  since there is a population of Hindus   and Muslims  ( henna-Mehendi  for weddings and  celebrations like Eid) whose ancestors are from India.
UK prices ? This is not going to work  IMHO  due to local competition

Thank you for your reply.

Do you know what the local henna artists typically charge for simple henna application for a bride?

Thank you for your reply.

Do you know approximately how much the local henna/mehndi artists charge for their services? For a bride? For an event?
