Yet another Private Messages query!

I know this question has been done to death and I know you have to participate in forums to unlock PMs (So please don't post back in capitals to read the rules!) but how many posts is acceptable? Most answers say 'a few' others say '10 is not enough'.  Is 20?

When I joined I was able to send PMs instantly. I was enjoying contacting people and getting answers to my queries and then my message inbox icon disappeared along with ongoing conversations I was having.  I assumed I was locked out... and upset I had left people hanging mid air....  but continued posting contributing to open discussions and asking for help.  I did not send any copy and paste messages either.

Others seem to be saying that they try to send and cannot but I do not have an icon at all!

Strange, it sounds more like a problem with your browser than something with the blog.

You should have several icons in the green banner at the top of the page. From left to right they are the "envelope" private message icon, the "three people" contacts icon, the "silouette" profile icon and finally the "flag" forum language icon.

Hopefully TEAM will see your posting on Monday and help you resolve this issue.

Thanks for the reply, I never thought of the browser possibility. I've tried that since you suggested it but it's the same. I do not have the 'envelope' icon on the green banner in Firefox or Internet Explorer:(

Hopefully TEAM will be able to address it Monday as you say  :)

Just in case I reported your initial posting, so it will pop on the screen for somebody on TEAM, they'll either resolve the problem or contact you to help you sort it out.

Damn..... you really gotta hate those disappearing envelopes!  :mad:

Ha ha ha... I know right! One minute it was there, next minute.... poof.. gone! I don't like when things that are supposed to be there.... aren't!
